Archangel Metatron

Overview

Archangel Metatron is the scribe of God — the archangel who records all that occurs in creation, keeper of the celestial archives and, in the tradition's most striking claim, a being who was once human. The lore holds that Metatron was the prophet Enoch, who "walked with God and was not, for God took him": translated directly into the angelic orders and elevated to the highest scribe. This makes him, with his twin Archangel Sandalphon, one of only two archangels said to have lived a human life — and explains, the literature suggests, his particular devotion to humans in transformation.

His energy is described as intense, geometric, and accelerating: the strongest medicine in the angelic cabinet.

Role and Attributes

Metatron's first domain is spiritual awakening itself. He works with souls in the opening — the kundalini stirrings, the dissolutions of old identity, the sudden expansions that the unprepared experience as crisis — described as managing the voltage so that awakening illuminates rather than overwhelms. His second domain is energy clearing: with the geometric instrument the tradition calls Metatron's Cube — the figure containing the Platonic solids, the building blocks of form — he is described as spinning distortion out of the human field, a rapid and thorough cleanse practitioners request by name.

His third domain is the children. Metatron is the special guardian of highly sensitive children — the indigo, crystal, and starseed generations of the contemporary literature — advocating for the young whose perception exceeds their circumstances, and guiding parents and teachers who must raise what they do not fully understand.

Working with Metatron

The counsel for Metatron is readiness: he is described as the archangel to call when one genuinely wants to accelerate — and as taking such requests seriously. Practitioners visualise his Cube turning through the body and its spaces for clearing, and report his presence as deep pink-green or violet light, geometric afterimages, pressure at the crown, and a distinct sensation the literature calls being recalibrated. For sensitive children, parents petition him directly; teachers of such children are described as his standing deputies.

In Tradition

Metatron's lore is kabbalistic and Enochic: the Third Book of Enoch describes Enoch's transformation into Metatron, greatest of the angels, seated as scribe at the divine throne; the kabbalah assigns him the crown sefirah Keter and the governance of the archangelic orders. His name's origin is debated — "one who serves behind the throne" is a common reading — and his rank in the esoteric literature is unmatched: the youngest archangel by origin, the highest by office.

Relationship to Other Orders

Metatron presides, in many rosters, over the angelic hierarchy documented in this group, working in eternal twinship with Archangel Sandalphon — the two human-born archangels framing the Tree of Life, crown and root. His geometric instruments connect him to the form-sciences of the stellar traditions — the sacred geometry of The Arcturian Brotherhood of Light and The Sirian Council of Light — and his record-keeping parallels the archives of The Sirian Star League. His care for incoming sensitive souls aligns him with the star seed councils, particularly The Arcturian Star Seed Council.

Role in Earth's Awakening

In the tradition's account, Metatron holds the acceleration of the transition: the management of an awakening running faster than any in the records he keeps. The sensitive children are his long game — a generation built for the new frequency, shepherded into position. His charge completes when the scribe's ledger records the event he was assigned to: a species, like the man he once was, walking with God — and remaining.
